Mun Wai's Reflection

An individual reflection on our personal development in relation to collaboration and communicating as a group.

Our collaboration

  • During the project, our group communicated very well and we were able to meet up regularly to brainstorm and update the plans. We also updated each other regularly about the process and reminded each other about the things we needed to complete.

  • Originally, we had some trouble coming up with the recommendations and solutions, but through the meet-ups and Skype meetings, we were able to overcome that and come up with feasible solutions that were suitable for the centre. We then delegated some work to everyone so that each of us can contribute towards the completion of the project.

Sharing with the principal

  • I volunteered to head down to the centre along with my group mate to share about the recommendations and solutions. We communicated through WhatsApp and met up at the centre to share with the principal despite our busy schedules.

  • It was a short and simple process and we took notes of the principal's feedback as well as took pictures of how we pictures things would go.

What i learned

  • During the process, I have learned the importance of contributing. As this is a group project, it is important for everyone to contribute their part so that we can all share our views and better understand where each of us are coming from.

  • I also learned how to think critically during the process as we had to pick out the main need of the centre out of all the responses we got from both the principal and the teachers. In addition to this, we had to think of solutions that were practical to the industry as there was a time constraint as well as other related concerns.

Overall

Through this process, it was vital for communication and collaboration among the group members, or this project would not have been possible. Everyone worked together and contributed their parts to make the whole website a success.
